William
D. Blackwell, SIOR
Principal
Will Blackwell has been in the commercial real
estate business since 1992, following graduation
from Appalachian State with a BS/BA degree in
Management. Will's real estate career began with
York Commercial Properties in Raleigh, where
after four years he was promoted to Vice
President of Industrial Brokerage. After seven
years of employment at York, Will went to work
briefly for Daniel Corporation managing and
leasing over 1,000,000 square feet of Class A
office space. He moved back to his hometown of
Winston-Salem in 1999 and formed the third party
brokerage division for Samet Properties. Since
1999, Will has earned the prestigious SIOR
designation, been on the Commercial & Industrial
Board for the Realtors Commercial Alliance in
Winston-Salem, and has established himself as a
senior broker in the Triad commercial real
estate market. Personally, Will is a native of
Winston-Salem and a graduate of R.J. Renyolds
High School. Will is married to wife Laura
Lehman Blackwell and they are the proud parents
of two boys, Davis and Emory. |
Emory
E. Croom, III
Principal
Having owned and operated a real estate and
appraisal company for most of the 90's, Emory
has been around commercial and residential real
estate most of his professional career. Emory
graduated from ECU in 1993 with a BS degree in
Urban and Regional Planning. Since 2001 when he
went to work at Samet, Emory has developed a
network of Greensboro and Mebane based clients
that have established him as one of the premier
brokers in the Triad market. Emory is member and
sponsor of the NC Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and
as Chairman headed up a very successful Dale
Earnhardt International DU Fundraiser in 2003
with Teresa Earnhardt. |
William
H. Daniel, CCIM
Principal
William is a native of Winston-Salem, NC and he
and his wife Paige and daughter Hollis currently
live in Winston-Salem. He began his real estate
career in 1998 with Southwind Properties as a
broker with a concentration on investment
transactions throughout the southeast region. In
mid 1999 he took a position with Samet
Corporation as Asset Manager responsible for a
portfolio of real estate in excess of 2.75
million square feet. The managed real estate
consisted of a blend of industrial, office and
retail space located in the Piedmont Triad
region of North Carolina. During his years at
Samet he consistently outpaced the local market
by maintaining an average occupancy rate of 90%
or greater while working on transactions
totaling greater than 2 million square feet on
deal sizes from $100,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. In
October 2001, William earned the prominent
Certified Commercial Investment Member
designation (CCIM) (www.ccim.com) and is
currently serving on the board of directors for
the North Carolina CCIM Chapter. As a 1991
graduate of High Point University with a BS in
Economics, William has a tremendous amount
experience representing Landlords and Owners of
real estate and knows how to deal with the
complexity of real estate transactions and the
commitment that it takes see them through to
consummation. |
Kelly
Christie
Kelly Christie is originally from Winston-Salem. After
graduating from Gospel Light Christian School and studying
English at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro,
she moved to Atlanta in 1997 to work for Delta Air Lines as
a Flight Attendant. During her nine years at Delta, she was
based in Atlanta and New York and worked as an On-Board Crew
Leader and Customer Service Coordinator. In addition to
traveling the world, she also had the opportunity to work
with corporate marketing teams on several projects,
including testing and promoting new services and products in
both domestic and international markets. In January of 2005,
ready for a change, Kelly decided to become a licensed real
estate broker and pursue a career in commercial real estate.
She joined Atlantic Coast Commercial in June of 2006. She
and her husband, Brandon Christie currently live in
Winston-Salem. |

Maintenance Division |
Willie
E. Hilliard
Willie has been with ACC since Atlantic Coast Commercial
acquired the leasing and management of Liberty Plaza in
December of 2005. Willie has been the Lead Maintenance
Technician for Liberty Plaza for 14 years. In addition,
Willie assists in the Maintenance of the 110 S. Stratford R
facility.
Willie, a native of Alabama, is married with one son. He is
an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys billiards, fishing,
traveling and the restoration of old items. Willie
personally enjoys his people friendly career is very
accommodating to fellow employees and tenants of Liberty
Plaza. |
Vonnie
Charles Brown
“Charlie” was born in Salisbury, NC and graduated from North
Forsyth High School in 1964, which was North’s first
graduating class as a school. As a veteran fire fighter,
Charlie worked as a squad captain, was an instructor for
fire and life safety and also taught emergency care classes
for the Mt. Tabor Fire Department for over 28 years. In
addition, he has over 12 years of experience in building
maintenance.
Model railroads and railroad structures are several of
Charlie’s hobbies. He married Madgelee Prevett in 1969 and
has a son, a daughter and a grandson. |

Property Management Division |
Donna
Burnette
Property Manager
Donna is an integral part of Atlantic Coast Commercial’s
Property Management Division. Donna has a tremendous amount
of experience in management at Liberty Plaza and also having
overseen the property management of Wake Forest University’s
Reynolds Boulevard properties. She has been with ACC since
December of 2005 and has been involved with Liberty Plaza
since 1990. Donna currently has a staff of five that she
oversees in the management division.
Donna is married to Bo Burnette and has two daughters and
four granddaughters. |
Claire
Link
Administrative Assistant
Following graduation from Berkeley College in East Orange,
NJ, Claire worked for Digital Equipment Corporation as
secretary to the District Manager while in NJ. She created
her own home based quilting business in Buffalo, NY for 20
years designing baby rooms and home goods. Claire worked as
the Front Desk Manager for Amberleigh Independent Village
before moving to North Carolina about 10 years ago. Most
recently she has been working at the Liberty Plaza Building
(for 8 years) in Winston Salem and joined the ACC Property
Management Division in 2005. |
